Maryanne Fisco, MA, NCC,
LPC, EMDR-T

Maryanne Fisco graduated with her M.A. in Counseling from The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2017 and went straight into a passion project providing international counseling and philanthropy work in the Philippines before moving to the Western Slope of Colorado. She has served as a school counselor in Delta county for a few year before discovering deeper purpose in individual and group therapy.

Her therapeutic approach consists of a holistic lens making sure to pay close attention to her clients needs, as well as, honoring observations that can help their overall healing. She utilizes non-traditional approaches like tarot card reading, guided journey work, nature based somatic work, and animal assisted therapy in her sessions. She speaks from the heart providing deeper understanding through Ayurveda, visuals, explaining avoidant/anxious attachment, and the exploration of one's inner world.

Mind and body connection is an important pillar of Maryanne's work with clients. She believes that through nature and animals, one can learn to self regulate in returning to their parasympathetic nervous system. In the case of highly triggering events, Maryanne utilizes EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) as a tool to assist her clients in processing the event effectively.

Ayurveda is another pillar of how Maryanne can assist in her clients healing. She is an accomplished 1st year graduate of Ayurvedic Medicine from the esteemed Dr. Vasant Lad's, The Ayurvedic Institute in Asheville, NC.  While Ayurveda offers psychological and spiritual assistance, Maryanne offers Ayurvedic consultations for clients looking to focus on shifting their lifestyle to a more wholesome package of healing.

Her passion is rooted in drawing out the true nature of how relationships interact through the lens of her clients. She respects the complexity of unique human experiences and is driven to support her clients in gaining an empowered understanding of their lives.

An outdoor enthusiast with nature based modalities, Maryanne enjoys a variety of recreational activities like horseback riding, fishing or floating the many rivers of the Western Slope, hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Among these hobbies, Maryanne is on volunteer staff with Casting For Recovery. a Non-profit organization that supports the livelihood and wellness of women who have or are recovering from breast cancer through fly fishing. She is part of the all women team for the Western Slope chapter since 2023.

Connection. Purpose. Passion.

These are the guiding values I strive to embody each day, and the foundation of the work I offer to others.
My career began in the veterinary field, where I witnessed the incredible heart and strength it takes to make an impact. Over time, I saw a greater pattern across professions, where people pour themselves into purpose-driven work, many were silently burning out, slowly disconnecting from the very things that once lit them up. I was no exception.
It was yoga that brought me back to myself. Through movement, breath, and presence, I found healing, and the path forward. Since then, I’ve become a trauma-aware, 500-hour certified yoga teacher with advanced studies in Kundalini, Ayurveda, moon cycles, and the Enneagram. I’m also a certified leadership coach, licensed massage therapist, and Reiki practitioner, offering a somatic, holistic approach to personal growth and healing.
My work centers around meeting people where they are, holding space, and co-creating sustainable practices for connection, restoration, and empowerment. I believe not all healing happens in a clinical setting. Sometimes it’s found through movement, stillness, nature, or simply being truly seen.
Today, I live on a horse sanctuary in western Colorado, with lots of beloved animals. I have the privilege of traveling the West, helping others reconnect to their purpose and redefine what it means to thrive in life and work.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me outdoors, riding horses, hiking, dancing to live music, exploring art, and loving on all the dogs.
